I was there from February 14th to the 21st and I had an amazing time. Phillip recommended great places to eat and he was right every time. The b&b was beautiful and I loved the hot tub. My room was gorgeous and you can't beat the location, so close to the French Quarter, but away from the insanity so I could actually get some sleep. Thanks Phillip and David!! “LOVE Royal Street Courtyard” NYNAT1 UK Feb 2, 2010 | Trip type: Business I can't believe it's taken me almost a year to write this review - but better late than never. My stay at the Royal Street Courtyard last June was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. I had joked with Phillip before I got there that I had never seen so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor and would I be the first to break the trend....well, not possible. The house is so beautiful, location perfect, our room was just gorgeous, the scent from the courtyard incredible and the hot tub TONS of fun!! On top of all of this Phillip gave us the most amazing tips and hints of where to go and he knows what he is talking about - the one not so great meal we had was the one time we did not follow his recommendation! Everything else was as fanstastic as he said it would be. I'm running out of superlatives - I cannot say enough good things about this place. My friend and I are planning our next trip back to NOLA and would not dream of staying anywhere other than the Royal Street Courtyard B&B. See you soon Phillip! “Best place I have ever stayed” medea21 Berkshire Jan 29, 2010 | Trip type: Solo travel I spent ages pouring over B&B's on trip advisor and visiting websites and became totally confused. In the end I chose this one and hoped for the best and the best, luckily is what I got. David and Phillip are very friendly, helpful and, well, lovely. I travelled alone and despite the warnings to take taxis home at night, I felt very safe walking back from the French Quarter or Frenchmens and had the most perfect holiday ever. Can't wait to go back and just hope there is a room available when I do. “Quaint and Homey” TrippyDallas Dallas Jan 27, 2010 | Trip type: Couples We really enjoyed the Royal Street Courtyard with its antebellum charm (built in 1850) with original pine floors that are a work of art in and of themselves. Nice owners with good suggestions (but Adolphos was closed when we tried to go, now we must go back!) such as the yummy & cool Cake Cafe, Feelings, and Coops (with a resident cat). A short walk to Frenchman street where Snug Harbor and The Spotted Cat offer live music, and just a bit more of a walk to the French Quarter. The high ceilings and lace curtains made me feel I stepped back in time & New Orleans is definitely a place outside of the usual time crunch... no one in a hurry.... it's a world apart and very European in its atmosphere. We already want to go back
